Virtual Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention for Beginners

An event every week that begins at 4:00 pm on Monday and Wednesday, repeating until May 11, 2022

Falls are the number one cause of injury in adults over 55.  1 out of 3 adults over 65 fall each year.  Falling once doubles your chances of falling again.  Falling is NOT inevitable.  Tai Chi has been proven to be a specific fall risk reduction exercise program.  Tai chi combines the physical components of leg strength, flexibility, range of motion, and reflexes; along with the mindfulness of coordination and balance.

UnityPoint Des Moines is offering this virtual program for beginners.

8 week class – 2 x/week (16 sessions)

3/21/22 – 5/11/22  Every Mon & Wed, 4-4:50pm
